Christmas NOTD: Red - NYC 226 Madison Avenue

Red Red Red, when I think of Christmas and if I had to describe it as a colour, I would definitely pick red and not just because of good old Santa Clause but because its a nice, bright, fun and vibrant colour and its classy.

NYC 226 Madison Avenue

NYC In A New York Colour Minute Madison Avenue 226 is a lovely bright red. its cheap and cheerful.
its a two coater and has a shiney finish even without a top coat (bonus)

I did use a topcoat, just because I suffer from extreme tip wear from tap tap tapping all day long at work!!
But if you wanted a quick fix with a fab finish in one little bottle, then I would recommend you pop into Sam Mccauleys and pick this up

Do you like?? its plain and simple and i did have the urge to jazz these up with designs but time wasn't on my side!! BUT I will defo be re-painting these fingers and getting my nail art on soon.. .watch this space... :)

NOTD: NYC - 294 LEXINGTON YELLOW

NYC - 294  LEXINGTON YELLOW

Getting Dotty with it..

Hey All,
After reading and seeing lotsa reviews on this little number I had to pick myself up a bottle and for the bargain price of 1.79 euro, I HAD TO really *heehee*

Two coats of this and a top coat and my nails were lovely and bright and summery. NYC as always is affordable, the varnish has a good consistancy and colour pay off and the brush was easy to use.
So no complaints from me for this one.

I decided that white little daisy type flowers would be very cute over this colour and summer too.
I used my tructy dotting tool and a blob of  Essence white manicure tip varnish.

However I decided to do the flowers whilst watching the Big Bang Theory and you can see for yourself the results!!!
My placement was all over the place because of my half assed attention to detail at the time.
I still kinda liked them even tho it looks like I was drunk at the time! But as always I learned the hard way that some things require your full attention for 5 whole minutes! oops

Easter Nail Art

Happy Easter Everyone.

First off this weekend my blog has hit 5,000 views, Thank you all so much, its a nicer present that n any Easter egg to know that your reading and hopefully enjoying my blog :)

So this week, I was undecided what I wanted to do on my nails for Easter! I knew that I fancied a colour injection, but other than that I wasn't too sure!! So I picked 5 bright colours and started from there. I'm sorry I didn't take a photo of my nails before I started to doodle!!
But here is how my nails turned out. I left both thumbs out of this (incase your wondering)

RIGHT HAND

So I decided that I would do every nail different, I started with the pretty yellow nail, I was thinking a lil cute Easter chick, I was trying to make it look like he was peeking out of an egg shell, not a bad first attempt, but his eyes and nose could be better!!
The bunny on the pink finger I think is cute. The other two nails i decided to try to decorate like Easter Eggs, I used nail art pens. I like the end result especially on the blue nail.

LEFT HAND

As you know I'm dotty for spotty :) and time wasn't on my side unfortunately, so spots over all these pretty colours seemed like a good option to me, and I was happy with the outcome, I didn't spot the drag marks over the spots until I uploaded the photos onto the computer!!
I had left my ring/yellow finger blank with the intentions of attempting another chick on this finger, but sadly I never got around to it!! But hey, Yellow is a nice Eater colour and it looks pretty as it is I think :) (good excuse? lol)

NYC Boundless Berry & Nails Inc Glamour Glitter‏

Happy Friday JJ I hope you all have the Friday feeling.

This week I’ve been keeping my nails plain and simple! They’re still not right from my disaster gelish/ shellac experience!
But I’m happy to report that OPI nail envy does seem to be helping things along.
So I started with two coats of Nail Envy on my fingers, then two coats of NYC Boundless Berry, (it probably could have done with a third coat tho)
But isn’t the purple lovely? It’s very autumny/ christmassy I think. A winner in my book.

Now this week I may have bought the same magazine 4 TIMES!
BUT with good reason, Glamour magazine was giving away Nails Inc polishes. 10ml bottlesJ and they were all lovely. So I bought all 4!! No guilt over here. 4 Nails Inc for 12yoyo’s. That’s a bargainJ

I decided to test out my glitter one first, its soooo pretty, even in the bottle Nails Inc Glamour Glitter‏ is very eye catching, the pics don;t do it justice. I just done one finger on each hand! (it was getting late and I was tired!! story of my life lately)

I finished off all my fingers with an Essence quick dry top coat (I’m trying to be good and used up the ends of all my old bottles this month)

Its day 3 today and I can see some tip wear, but its not hugely obvious. I reckon I’ll get another day or two outta these.
Enjoy your weekends. I’m off to Dublin for a gig and some shoppingJJ
