Slimming World - WEEK 8 - Feb 2016

I knew going into this week that I would struggle as star week approached and being out for dinner 3 days in a row at the weekend…
So the plan was to stay on plan for breakfast & lunch, and also low in syns where possible and enjoy my dinners without any guilt ( I won’t post photos of my off plan dinners here as its not very helpful (they are on my Instagram

I had a loss :-)

This weeks Diary is my Food Diary.. I haven’t listed my HEA, HEB & syns
(FYI, my healthy extra A is always 350ml of skimmed milk for my tea)
(my healthy extra B tends to be 35g cereal, a bagel slim or 2 x Hifi bars)
(I try to keep my syns for sweet treats /chocolate..)

Fri 19th Feb 2016 – Day  46
Breakfast:  2 x mini egg muffins with beans
Lunch: Toasted Bagel slim with Ham Salad (1.5 syns for light cheese triangle)
Dinner: Off plan pepper burger & chips
2.5 Litres of Water &   14.5 syns + Dinner

Sat 20th Feb 2016 – Day  47
Breakfast: BLT on a bagel slim with egg & mushrooms
Lunch:   Pasta in passata with ham
Dinner: Off Plan 3 course meal
2 Litres of Water & 3 syns + 3 course Dinner

Sun 21st  Feb 2016 – Day  48
Breakfast: Raspberries with yogurt & Bacon bagel with ketchup (1 syn)
Lunch: Roast lamb Dinner in my mothers (syns for oil & cheesy cauliflower)
Tea: Food Court – Abra!!

Today was a hungry day and I make no apologies!! I wouldn’t say I had a binge... but  I definitely over ate on the wrong foods.

Mon 22nd Feb 2016 – Day  49
Breakfast: 2 x mini egg muffins with beans
Lunch: Turkey Salad
Dinner: SW Spaghetti Bolognese (2 syns for light cheese single)

1 hours Spinning for some body magic and to get me in the right head space
3 Litres of Water & 7 syns

Healthy Extra B & 5 syns

Tues 23rd Feb 2016 – Day  49
Breakfast: 2 x mini egg muffins with beans
Lunch: Leftover Spaghetti Bolognese with side salad
Dinner: Bacon (fat removed) Turnip & Potatoes

Star week has arrived and I am feeling drained & very sorry for myself! (also explains Sundays over eating!)
2.5 Litres of Water & 10 syns

Weds 24th Feb 2016 – Day  49
Breakfast: 2 x mini egg muffins with beans
Lunch: Toasted Bagel Slim (HEB) light cheese triangle (1.5) Turkey & Salad
Dinner: Chicken, mushrooms, SW chips, boiled rice & 28g Mayflower Curry (4syns)

Car passed the NCT, I celebrated with a purple snack (5 syns) that’s a positive that I stayed on plan
2.5 Litres of Water & 15 syns

Thurs 25th Feb 2016 – Day  49
Breakfast: Overnight Oats
Lunch: Boiled Egg Salad
Dinner: Roast Chicken Mammy Dinner (syns for sausage meat & gravy)

Went to early weigh in & was 100% expecting a gain after the weekend!! BUT I was down 1 lb…
Delighted, the only thing I can think of is that on the days that I knew I’d be over my syns for dinner I kept the rest of the day low/synfree, obviously this stood to me this week!!

Slimming World - WEEK 7 - Feb 2016

I’m back on plan, I enjoyed my week off but I’m ready now to get back to seeing losses on the scales rather than a gain!!  Which I did.. woohoo.. heres how my week went a photos of the best food on that particular day....

Fri 12th   Feb 2016 – Day  39
Weigh In last night has me up  4lbs after my week off.. I’m ready now to get back on plan and eat well again. Really glad I stayed for the meeting last night as it makes me believe that I can do this, I just have to start fresh and keep going
Synfree breakfast & lunch meant I had syns for a take away and kept my Healthy Extra B for chocolate (2 x hifi Bars)

Sat 13th  Feb 2016 – Day  40
10am Spinning was tough after a week off, and I was happy when it was done… MY 3 main meals were on plan and I really enjoyed my 28g of Mayflower Curry (4 syns)
I waivered tho when himself opened a tub of Ben & Jerry’s!!! So I shared it with him!!!!
2 Litres of Water & 65 syns

Sun 14th  Feb 2016 – Day  41
Valentines Day, I knew that we were going out for dinner today, so I was kicking myself for having the ice cream last night!! D’oh!
Bunch was a tasty on plan bacon & eggs bagel.. but everything else for today was off plan and over my syns!!
Fishcakes with chips, Mars bar cheesecake & Clonakility pudding on brown soda bread with ketchup!

Mon 15th  Feb 2016 – Day  42
Back on plan with a vengeance… just like every other Monday, my day was busy… Spinning class was tough!!!
I bought new long Nike exercise leggings and they seems to give me friction burns during the class!! Its not good when stretchy exercise pants need to be broken in!!

Tues 16th   Feb 2016 – Day  43
Had overnight oats for breakfast, its been a while and they were delish…
I was tired and cranky all day and a feeling a bit MEH!

I ate really well today!! Kinda feel like I’m food obsessed at the moment! Which isn’t the worse thing once I’m eating slimming world friendly foods..
With so much hype on line this week about the Mayflower curry (you can finally buy it in Cork it would seem) I had to have it again for my dinner this evening!!
Twice in the week!! I KNOW but it was delish and well worth the syns

Thurs 18th Feb 2016 – Day  45
Feeling good today and pretty confident after a week of eating very well…
The scales had me down 2lbs, I’m happy with that after going over my syns twice this week… if I can stick to being down 1-2lbs per week, I’ll get there… its tough at times when you meet people in group that are down 1stone 5lbs in 6 weeks tho, but I know I’m not a big numbers gal, 3lbs in a week is a lot for me! I don’t think I’ve ever lost 7lbs in one week!

Slimming World -WEEK 6 - off plan

Hey guys,

So it was my birthday last week, we went to London for the weekend AND Pancake Tuesday happened, so it wasn’t the worst week to have off plan…….

London was great fun, we done LOADS.. arrived early Sat morning, we were in the Science museum by 10.30, then I got cupcakes from The Hummingbird bakery (unbelievable)
We got the tube to Harrods for a walk around.... went to a yummy steakhouse for dinner that done a duo of cheesecakes for dessert (need I say more:-))

Sunday - we had breakfast, queued for the natural history museum, dinosaur expo was CLOSED!!! I was gutted!!
Then we went tube hopping to visit, London eye, big ben, Westminster & MI6 building....

After a busy morning, we went to visit Hamleys & hit Oxford street for some retail therapy….


I also saw people with Hummingbird bakery  bags, so tracked it down and had a slice of Rainbow Cake (highlight of my trip)
We strolled thru Selfridges to avoid the rain & went for Dinner in Covent Gardens in Maxwell’s (delish)

We were very lucky to get home on Monday.. the early flight was delayed in Stansted by 8 hours!!! we walked passed them and got our flight and were only delayed by 45min over the winds in Cork!!!!

I was very happy to be home but exhausted after the weekend!! my legs are still heavy!!
We did 17,000 steps on Sat & 28,000 steps on Sunday according to my Fitbit!

I took Tues off work, himself went to work, I hit the couch and ate lotsa pancakes :-)

So I happily accepted my 4lb gain at Slimming World and plan to get back on track ASAP

Slimming World - WEEK 5 - Jan/Feb 2016

January is finally over…. Can I get a woohoo J Hello Spring & February

Star week and birthday week for me which see’s me going waaay over my syns on 3 days!!
Hey, no one said this was going to be straight forward or easy! BUT the queen of excuses refuses to quit…. 

Friday 29th Jan 2016 – Day 26
Still feeling nauseous, so didn’t eat much!!! Star week has arrived also!!! So not the best combo to start my day!!!
Today was off plan! I just ate what I thought I’d be able to keep down!

Saturday 30th Jan 2016 – Day 27
Woke up feeling better, went to Spinning and hopefully sweated out the end of whatever bug I picked up!!
I was careful with my food today “just in case”
Dinner was a Chinese take away 8 syns and having 3 chocolate biscuits put me over my syns for the day but counting it as a win!
1 hour Spinning & 1.5 Litres of Water & 23 syns

3 biscuits = 12 syns

Sunday 31st  Jan 2016 – Day 28
Today started well, breakfast * lunch were on plan, I got my food shopping in for the week BUT we had visitors for the afternoon and I let myself get too hungry and also Hangry!
So dinner was off plan pizza! Not sure why I find it so difficult to stay onplan at the weekend!!!

Monday 1st  Feb 2016 – Day 29
Have my usual Monday morning determination about me even tho I didn’t sleep very well!!
Ate as much fruit as I could to get the speed food into me!!
Suffered in Spinning class tonight, my dinner was jumping in my throat! Not a good feeling!
Had some dry half a syn biscuits to ease the queasy feeling
1 hour Spinning & 3 Litres of Water & 2.5 syns

Tuesday 2nd  Feb 2016 – Day  30
Woke up tired!! I assume its how Tuesdays will be after a busy Monday and Spinning!!
3 meals were on plan.. had a quiet day and early night…  Had 2 x chocolate biscuits to use some syns

Wednesday 3rd  Feb 2016 – Day  31
Today is my birthday, 32.. how did that happen!!! My birthday surprise is a trip to London THIS Sat (lucky me)
So today at work I cancelled cake (we always get cake when there’s a birthday in the office!)
My 3 main meals were 100% on plan (lunch was 1.5 syns for light cheese triangle) So that when I went to my parents for dinner, I was able to join in the “party” with my nieces and nephew & have birthday cake
Cake pushes me over my syns, but I’m ok with that…. It is my birthday after all

Thursday 4th  Feb 2016 – Day  31
Weigh Days here once again…. I’m feeling good today, and kinda lean and light, could be all in my head,  but regardless of what the scales says I plan to enjoy my weekend away…

Hit the scales and walked away with a maintain….. very happy with that  J
