Slimming World - WEEK 13 - Mar 2016





I was up, as expected.... amazing how 4 days off plan has me back at almost square one!!
I've gained 7lbs in 2 weeks!!!



So since I feel like a fool today on April Fools day, I've decided that I might be down but I'm definitely not out.(pardon the pun)
So new month means a clean slate...
I've set a few goals to see me through the month




  • Keep a food diary - (write every bite)
  • Stay to group every week 
  • Take Away once a week (Chinese within my syns)
  • Get back to Spinning twice a week (Haven't been since 29th Feb)
  • Fit Bit Goals - Hit 10,000 steps Everyday 
  • Be kinder to myself
  • Keep Calm at the weekends
  • Try at least one new recipe
  • Stay within my syns EVERY DAY
  • Get my 1 stone award from Slimming World (its like a unicorn at this stage)


Weight lost to date: Week 12:  -2lbs

Slimming World - WEEK 8 - Feb 2016

I knew going into this week that I would struggle as star week approached and being out for dinner 3 days in a row at the weekend…
So the plan was to stay on plan for breakfast & lunch, and also low in syns where possible and enjoy my dinners without any guilt ( I won’t post photos of my off plan dinners here as its not very helpful (they are on my Instagram

I had a loss :-)



This weeks Diary is my Food Diary.. I haven’t listed my HEA, HEB & syns
(FYI, my healthy extra A is always 350ml of skimmed milk for my tea)
(my healthy extra B tends to be 35g cereal, a bagel slim or 2 x Hifi bars)
(I try to keep my syns for sweet treats /chocolate..)

Fri 19th Feb 2016 – Day  46
Breakfast:  2 x mini egg muffins with beans
Lunch: Toasted Bagel slim with Ham Salad (1.5 syns for light cheese triangle)
Dinner: Off plan pepper burger & chips
2.5 Litres of Water &   14.5 syns + Dinner

Sat 20th Feb 2016 – Day  47
Breakfast: BLT on a bagel slim with egg & mushrooms
Lunch:   Pasta in passata with ham
Dinner: Off Plan 3 course meal
2 Litres of Water & 3 syns + 3 course Dinner

Sun 21st  Feb 2016 – Day  48
Breakfast: Raspberries with yogurt & Bacon bagel with ketchup (1 syn)
Lunch: Roast lamb Dinner in my mothers (syns for oil & cheesy cauliflower)
Tea: Food Court – Abra!!

Today was a hungry day and I make no apologies!! I wouldn’t say I had a binge... but  I definitely over ate on the wrong foods.

Mon 22nd Feb 2016 – Day  49
Breakfast: 2 x mini egg muffins with beans
Lunch: Turkey Salad
Dinner: SW Spaghetti Bolognese (2 syns for light cheese single)

1 hours Spinning for some body magic and to get me in the right head space
3 Litres of Water & 7 syns

Healthy Extra B & 5 syns


Tues 23rd Feb 2016 – Day  49
Breakfast: 2 x mini egg muffins with beans
Lunch: Leftover Spaghetti Bolognese with side salad
Dinner: Bacon (fat removed) Turnip & Potatoes

Star week has arrived and I am feeling drained & very sorry for myself! (also explains Sundays over eating!)
2.5 Litres of Water & 10 syns

Weds 24th Feb 2016 – Day  49
Breakfast: 2 x mini egg muffins with beans
Lunch: Toasted Bagel Slim (HEB) light cheese triangle (1.5) Turkey & Salad
Dinner: Chicken, mushrooms, SW chips, boiled rice & 28g Mayflower Curry (4syns)

Car passed the NCT, I celebrated with a purple snack (5 syns) that’s a positive that I stayed on plan
2.5 Litres of Water & 15 syns

Thurs 25th Feb 2016 – Day  49
Breakfast: Overnight Oats
Lunch: Boiled Egg Salad
Dinner: Roast Chicken Mammy Dinner (syns for sausage meat & gravy)

Went to early weigh in & was 100% expecting a gain after the weekend!! BUT I was down 1 lb…
Delighted, the only thing I can think of is that on the days that I knew I’d be over my syns for dinner I kept the rest of the day low/synfree, obviously this stood to me this week!!

I confess

Apologies for the silence over the last while!! I’m been on a bit of a roller-coaster!! I've been mad busy with work and social stuff and getting organized for the wedding!
I've been sick with a head cold for 2 weeks which knocked my healthy eating out the window kinda!!!
Basically I've been having really good days followed by super super bad binge days.
Not recommended or the kind of lifestyle I would be promoting! But I was miserable when I was sick and had no taste so I wanted lotsa sweet and nice things and once I gave into it I was out of control and didn't stop!! (well that’s how it felt in my eyes)
Now everyday was not like that, some days I had more control than others and I was still going to my spinning and circuit classes but all the exercise in the world wasn't burning off the amount of extra calories I was consuming!!

I’m not condoning my behavior but sometimes life gets in the way of good intentions; and throw in me being sick and feeling sorry for myself and bingo… you get me the queen of excuses making even more excuses!!
I was reluctant to blog and share as I felt bad about my behavior  but not bad enough to stop!! It was a phase and I’m glad to say that its over for now.

I’m a total emotional eater, any excuse and I’m ready to  eat bad.. seriously.. any. Excuse.

I have been reading other peoples blogs and looking for inspiration and motivation and I have definitely been finding it. I've also found that other people seem to be struggling at the moment too!!
I've been blaming the dark evenings and bitter cold weather (for my sickness and for my eating, its your fault mother nature, not mine)
I associate being cold with hot tea and choccie biccies!! And there’s been a LOT of cold evenings!!



So there’s my confession and my secret! I don’t feel the better for sharing, but I had to come back to my poor abandoned blog, even just for a little update.
The wedding is tomorrow week, so once that’s over, I will have more time to rant and moan and be accountable.

I have been posting updates on my facebook and twitter this week and I try to get back on top of things and get rid of the bloat and rot before the wedding.
I will of course post of photo of me in the gorgeous bridesmaid dress since I've been talking about the big day since I started this blog! I can’t believe it almost here!! Its been my goal and aim for over 12 months. I’m nowhere near my goal or target but I've definitely made a lot of progress since this time last year.

OK I’m starting to rant.. I’ll let you decide for yourself next week how well or not well I've done when I post the photos.
